Natural Steps

I just received a thank you letter from the American Hiking Society, for my donation. This coincides with my purchase of some Teva hiking boots. To add more natural forms of entertainment and exercise to my lifestyle, I have been collecting the tools of the trade of hiking.

My kids, who also have new boots to step out in, love the natural environments that hiking offers. With cameras, binoculars and cheat sheets, we set out to explore.

My subscription to Backpacker magazine has expired but the back issues I am just getting around to reading reveals tons of information to make hiking safe and fun, including info on cooking outdoors, which kids just love.

An efficient way to burn fat and balance urban life lies in the natural environment of hiking trails. Spare the granola bars and try some bear. . . Gummy, that is 🙂
